eRacr News - Fontana, Fantasy and our First Top 10 🏁
Weekly Newsletter
The tough start to the 2022 season continued for eRacr on Saturday in Fontana. While Landon Cassill was off to a hot start with his 7th place qualifying effort, things got a little.... too hot. Just 6 laps into the Production Alliance Group 300, a mechanical failure engulfed the Kaulig Racing no. 10 in flames forcing Cassill to retire from the event early.
Looking to turn the season around, the newly formed eRacr eNASCAR team took to the virtual Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It was a tale of two races for the team in the 'sim city'. Darik Bordeau showed his speed in qualifying with a 4th place starting spot. Bordeau displayed some veteran prowess by running up front all race long and leading laps. Unfortunately, his race was cut short after getting caught up in a wreck with some heavy contact relegating him to a 34th place finish. Collin Bowden steadily came from the rear of the field and was able to dodge some of the late race chaos to capitalize with eRacr's first Top-10 finish in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series!
