Red Bull Continues their Reign
Max Verstappen won the Miami Grand Prix in dominant fashion, despite starting in ninth place on the grid. His Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez led for most of the race, but Verstappen overtook him with five laps to go and won by a margin of 26 seconds. Fernando Alonso finished in third place. Verstappen made his way up the field by taking advantage of his car's superior speed and passing several drivers on the way. The race was clean with no major incidents, and Verstappen's victory gave Red Bull a perfect score for the weekend.
Otmar May Be Out
The future of Otmar Szafnauer, Alpine's team principal, is in doubt after CEO Laurent Rossi warned of "consequences" for the team missing targets this season. Alpine finished fourth in the constructors' championship last year but is currently sixth, level on points with McLaren in fifth. Rossi says there are "a lot of excuses" within the team and he wants to see changes quickly.
Rossi says the team's standards have slipped, leading to a lack of operational excellence, and the final responsibility rests with Szafnauer. Rossi added that the team has the resources available to match Aston Martin's progress this year.
“Aston have less engineers than us, as far as I know. They don’t have their own wind tunnel yet, they don’t have their plant running at the moment. They hyper-charged development by having the right people joining them. It shows that it’s down to creativity and efficiency. It’s the rule of the game, we know that. So no, I’m sorry, I don’t buy the resource excuse.”

Denny Hamlin won the race, which featured a last-lap pass for the win, and credited the track for the perfect match between the car, the tire, and the race track. A post-race pit road fight between drivers Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson capped off the memorable race in America's heartland.

Ross Chastain punched fellow Chevrolet driver Noah Gragson after a race at Kansas Speedway. Gragson had approached Chastain to complain about how he raced him and grabbed Chastain's uniform. The incident was featured live on the broadcast, showing Gragson shaking Chastain and asking him what his problem was before Chastain swung his fist and hit Gragson's left cheek. Gragson was then stopped by a NASCAR security official when he tried to punch Chastain back. Chastain finished fifth while Gragson placed 29th.

Andretti Goes Across the Pond
Michael Andretti wants to bring Andretti Global to the Formula 1 grid as part of a multi-tier plan that would establish a European training ladder replicating his success story in North America. He plans to establish a new pipeline for young drivers, using the same formula he has developed to bring Colton Herta, Pato O'Ward, Kyle Kirkwood, and others up the ladder to IndyCar.
Andretti Global will set up a shop in England where the engineering team for the F1 squad would be based, and Andretti Global would do Formula 3 and Formula 2. This way, he believes he can better spotlight emerging talent. Andretti has won three of the last four Indy NXT (formerly Indy Lights) championships, and currently fields four entries this season.
