No Deal for Andretti
Despite Mercedes boss Toto Wolff's advice, Michael Andretti's search for a Formula 1 team purchase hits a dead-end 🛑. Andretti's organization, in collaboration with General Motors and Cadillac, has had no luck buying into F1, as he explained: "We've tried — nobody's interested, nobody's selling."
Responding to the lack of interest, Andretti clarified, "I've been there, done that — not happening.” He also defended the other teams' self-interested stances, empathizing, "if I was in their situation, I’d probably do the same thing."
He's optimistic, though, about the FIA’s upcoming decision on his team’s entry and confident that they've done everything necessary to be "competitive and respectful." 🤞 Will Andretti's F1 quest end in success or skid off-track? Only time will tell. ⏳

NASCAR unveiled its 2024 Hall of Fame nominees, with 15 key players gunning for the honor, plus an additional 5 nominees for the Landmark Award. Notable nominees are Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus, both first-timers on the Modern Era ballot. These dynamos 🌪️ won over 80 Cup races and seven titles together, with a record five consecutive wins. Johnson is now excelling in his new role as a co-owner at Legacy Motor Club Cup team while Knaus is the VP of Competition at Hendrick Motorsports.
Donnie Allison, ten-time NASCAR Cup Series winner, makes his debut on the Pioneer ballot. 🏁
"The sport's national spotlight was launched with iconic finishes, and these players have made significant contributions to NASCAR's growth," quoted NASCAR. The final inductees will be announced next year. 📅

IndyCar Intentions?
Michigan-based powerhouse, Pratt Miller Engineering, renowned for running the Corvette Racing program, has its eyes on the NTT IndyCar Series 🏎️. "We’re looking for the right opportunity for us...a program that’s competitive so we can be racing for wins and championships," says Pratt Miller Motorsports VP Brandon Widmer. They've been a force behind the scenes for over a decade and could soon transition into competition.
After General Motors' shift towards its own support solutions, Pratt Miller has the chance to field its own IndyCar team. While no official date is out, 2025 or 2026 is the ballpark. 🎯 As Widmer puts it, they're not naive enough to expect immediate domination, but they believe in their ability to compete. IndyCar is teeming with opportunity, and with their experience, Pratt Miller could be a serious contender. 🌟
