NASCAR’s New Deal

In a monster new deal, NASCAR has announced a seven-year, $1.1 billion annual TV rights deal, a 40% surge from the current price. 📈 Beginning in 2025, Fox will kick off the season with 14 races, while Amazon's Prime Video takes the wheel for five exclusive live-streamed events, marking a historic streaming debut for NASCAR's premier series. 📺 Warner Brothers Discovery and NBC Sports will then steer through the remaining races.

NASCAR President Steve Phelps emphasizes, "Our goal was to secure long-term stability with an optimized mix of distribution platforms and innovative partners that would allow us to grow the sport while delivering our product to fans wherever they are – and we’ve achieved that today," 🤝 

The deal also unveils a unique twist: Amazon Prime and Warner Brothers Discovery will broadcast Cup Series practice and qualifying sessions. 💻 This mega-deal follows NASCAR's summer announcement of a $115 million-a-year Xfinity Series broadcast deal with the CW Network. 📡📈

Hamlilton’s Honesty Hour

In a candid interview, Lewis Hamilton revealed the toll of Mercedes' F1 struggles and the aftermath of the Abu Dhabi 2021 controversy. The seven-time champ, amidst a competitive dry spell, admitted moments of self-doubt, saying, "I'm only human." Addressing his winless streak, Hamilton compared it to earlier challenging seasons, emphasizing the importance of the mental tools acquired at 38.

Reflecting on Abu Dhabi's fallout, Hamilton disclosed contemplating instant retirement during the emotional aftermath but wisely chose patience.
