Massa’s 15 Year Old Fight

Felipe Massa's revving up his legal team, challenging his 2008 F1 world championship loss 🏁. The Ferrari superstar dispatched a "Letter Before Claim" to both FIA and FOM, based on info from ex-F1 head Bernie Ecclestone. 🕵️ The claim? Early knowledge of the 2008 Singapore GP 'crashgate' could've changed the championship outcome, favoring Massa.

Instead of a prompt investigation, it was tackled a year later, which cemented the results 📊. "Mr Massa is the rightful 2008 Drivers' Champion," reads the letter. Estimated losses? Massa’s team claims potentially tens of millions of euros.

The plot twist? Ecclestone, 92, can't recall the interview that fueled Massa's legal fire 🔥. "I don't remember any of this," he shared.

Clock's ticking the letter demands a significant response within two weeks, or it's court time. 🏛️ But with the FIA's strict rules, challenging a 15-year-old result might be a long shot.

Larson’s Indy Initiation

Kyle Larson, NASCAR's 2021 Cup champ, is gearing up for his IndyCar debut in the 108th Indy 500 next year. Step one? A rookie orientation test in October. Larson's not completely green, having done virtual laps on GM’s simulator and a seat fit that's apparently a perfect match with driving advisor, Tony Kanaan's.

Gavin Ward, Arrow McLaren’s racing director, laid out the plan: Our goal is just to build up and get as much prep and seat time as we can, just to hit the ground running come May.”

Larson's a touch jittery, but hopeful: “I think once I get in the car… it will feel like home.”

Bonus: NASCAR vet Rick Hendrick partners with McLaren for this venture, marking his IndyCar debut. Looking ahead, McLaren’s Zak Brown hinted at more collaborations stating “It can certainly lead to other opportunities in the future”. 🤝🔮
