Fantasy Friday

The new generation of F1 cars saw wet track conditions for the first time on Friday morning. It was Ferrari's Leclerc and Sainz who paced the field in the first practice. Qualifying became quite hectic with a drying track and several red flags. Verstappen posted the quickest lap and will lead the field in the sprint race on Saturday afternoon. 

After three straight weeks of short track racing, NASCAR will take to the high banks of Talladega for the second super speedway race of the season. Bubba Wallace won the most recent race here last fall.

Max Verstappen is back and looking for redemption. After retiring from his second race this year due to a mechanical failure, Max is looking to get his season back on track. So far, he's done just that - Verstappen posted the fastest time in Qual which puts him starting up front for the first sprint race of 2022.

Bubba Wallace is quickly becoming one of the superspeedway aces that you have to look out for. He has an average finish of 1.667 in his last three superspeedway starts. With a win at the most recent race here at Talladega, he'll be looking to repeat come Sunday.
