Track Turbulence: Austrian GP Results Get a Revamp

The FIA reshuffled the Austrian Grand Prix standings ๐Ÿ”„, in response to an Aston Martin protest concerning track limit violations. Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton were bumped down the ranks, while Lando Norris, Fernando Alonso, and George Russell saw an upward shift.

Four infringements resulted in a five-second penalty, and five infringements resulted in a 10-second penalty โฑ๏ธ. The stewards strongly encouraged a fix for the track limits issue at Spielberg - pronto.

Commenting on the outcome, Alonso said, "An unexpected promotion to P5 - I'll take it." ๐Ÿ˜„ Meanwhile, a disheartened Gasly noted, "A drop to P10 - it's tough but part of the game." ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Still, Max Verstappen reigned supreme, staying put in 1st place ๐Ÿฅ‡.

Trackhouse Triumphs

The disrupter Justin Marks took his 'shower idea', Project91, from the concept to the Chicago Victory Lane ๐Ÿ†. The initiative is part of Trackhouse Racing, aimed at featuring international champions ๐ŸŒ in the NASCAR scene. Kiwi Supercars champ Shane van Gisbergen won the inaugural event in the Windy City, making his NASCAR debut a race-winning effort ๐Ÿพ.

"It just puts fuel in the tank as far as we're trying to build something here," Marks commented, adding that Project91 is about "winning and telling great stories."

The scheme lured a sponsor before a driver was announced, a first. Marks believes this win will attract more international talent and sponsors. The success of Project91 isn't just good for Trackhouse, it's ๐Ÿš€ great for NASCAR, bringing new interest from global fans.

"Don't blink" on Project91 โ€” more action could be just around the corner. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Kanaanโ€™s New Career

From track to boardroom! Just a month after his final race, Brazilian speed demon Tony Kanaan ๐Ÿ has secured a new role as Special Advisor for the Arrow McLaren IndyCar team. With 17 wins and 389 starts under his belt, the 2004 series champion and 2013 Indy 500 winner will provide driver mentorship, partner liaisons, and business development advice.

McLaren CEO Zak Brown was all praise for Kanaan: โ€œHeโ€™s a racer, and he knows how to win. Having him around...can only make us stronger contenders in the NTT IndyCar Series championship.โ€ Echoing his sentiment, McLaren Racing Director Gavin Ward remarked, โ€œHe brings a champion mindset to what weโ€™re doing โ€“ and thatโ€™s racing to win championships while having fun doing it.โ€

Kanaan, equally excited, stated, "I look forward to helping us get there and making the team and the series even better." ๐ŸŽ‰
